Burning of leaves is permitted within the city limits between September 15 and December 1. However, Burning Permits are required. There is a $5.00 charge for the permit. The permit is only in force for the year it was obtained in and each year a new application for a permit must be submitted to the City for approval.

  1. CALL POLICE DEPT (831-6134) the day that you are burning. If a neighbor makes a call to the Fire Dept because of your fire - and the fire trucks come to your residence - you will be charged for a fire call.

  5. No burning is permitted in the streets.

  7. No burning during an air pollution alert, warning or emergency declared by the Pollution Control Agency.
